I am 5 foot 9 inches tall and take a size 5 to fit my upper body. The length of the pants is for someone who is at least 6 foot tall. I am a master black black belt and the alterations of the pants is more difficult with the black trim cuffs. I like the black trim cuffs and to get the length correct, the seamstress administers additional efforts and expense.
